Whether carpentry workshop, bedchamber whether stable or barn, Weber Haus, bakery and wash house, Rathaus or photo studio: the houses in the Open Air Museum Beuren, Museum of the district Esslingen for rural culture, know a lot of stories from the previous life of the rural population.
The buildings are from the regions of the Middle Neckar and the Swabian Alb. In and around the historic houses and farm buildings from the districts Esslingen, Ludwigsburg, Böblingen, Reutlingen and the Alb-Donau-Kreis living, working and life of days gone by is shown.
Also in the new season the open air museum in Beuren is inviting young and old with a diverse program of events. Interesting exhibitions complete the offer.

Also worth seeing are the Museum fields with old crops and small gardens next to the museum buildings. In the season 2015, the theme of the year is TYPICAL SCHWÄBISCH!? the focus of the museum program.

Getting involved is desirable
